Sifting through the thrift stores
Every now and then I get lucky with my thrifty finds. If I look hard enough, sometimes little hidden treasures appear.
September Vogue Issue
Fall is coming. What better way to gain inspiration than with the September issue. I'm slowly preparing.

My {cute} korean daily planner collection
I couldn't decide on just one. They are all different in their own way with so much cuteness behind each and every one of them. This is a collection from two different stationary stores I passed by in Seoul. Although there are only about 6-7 items pictured above, I bought other nic nacs such as pictures frames, stickers, tape dispensers, pencil pouches and much, much more...

Instant Jjajang tucked away for a day like this
I didn't have much of an appetite or the energy to cook much of a dinner. This instant Korean jajang sauce came to the rescue. I reached for some leftover rice, heated everything up, and enjoyed.

Shoe shopping for Vegas
My friend decided to celebrate her birthday in Vegas this year. With less than a month away, there is lots of shopping to do. First things first, shoes.

Green tea is my new favorite thing
It's like it happened overnight. I woke up one morning, went to the store, bought some tea, and started drinking it twice a day everyday ever since.

Quality time with me, myself, and I
Sometimes it just feels good to be alone in your own presence. I've been really enjoying life and captured moments snapped in between.
I've been cleaning around the house, welcoming optimistic thoughts , adding more colors, and eating more greens.
I'm embracing who I am and discovering the wider world.

Summer hotness

Today was one of those days where I wish I had cute short hair. It's been so hot lately, but then again, nothing new. I'm loving everything about these looks. Soft curls, fierce eye makeup, bright lips, those clothes. More images here.
Pomegranate green tea and grapes for breakfast
No matter how late I'm running in the mornings I always find time for breakfast, be it large or small.

Busy body
I'm so glad this year's monsoon season decided to sprinkle more love. It's refreshing with all this rain and cool breeze. Beats the 100 degree weather any day. Today I will be definitely enjoying my Saturday.
My friend's birthday is next month and we decided to make it a girls weekend...in Vegas! Super excited! I've been on the search for some new outfits ever since.
I decided to give Forever 21 a friendly visit and got lucky with some new summer outfits. I came across the cutest maxi dress and decided to get it... in all the colors. Overboard much? Well, couldn't decide on the grey, black or orange so I bought all three for just under $40.
This past week I've been bare facing it. I'm starting to get more comfortable with the no makeup look. This new found comfort could come from that fact that my skin has been giving off a great healthy glow. I'm not sure if it's the 80 oz. of water I force myself to drink everyday, the B-complex vitamins I started taking, or the yoga exercises I started incorporating into my busy day, but whatever it is, it's working.
My hair is getting long, too. When straightened out it now hits the middle of my back. Ever since I started catching up on the Sex and the City series I've been loving my curls more and more. Thank you, Carrie Bradshaw aka Sarah Jessica Parker. Deep conditioning and natural air dry are my new best friends.
When I'm not drawn to my computer trying to catch up on Sex and the City episodes, I try working on my home improvement projects. I'm in the process of redecorating my place and bringing more life to it. I love going to Apartment Therapy for design inspirations. My favorite posts are the house tours. That's all I ever look at. This past weekend I came across a unique art piece that traveled all the way from England. That's why I love thrift stores- it's like going on a treasure hunt. You'll never know what you may find. Being too lazy to paint the walls, I opt for colorful wall paintings. When shopping for new frame hooks, I came across these damage free strips instead. Worked like a charm!
I've been really good at sticking to eating clean as well. Just recently (like 2-3 months ago) I started taking a real interest in eating better and focusing more on raw foods. I've cut out dairy products almost completely and stopped eating pork. Not that I'm trying to go hard-core vegetarian, but I have challenged the thought and haven't had any meat products this whole week. I've been taking in protein from other food sources, cutting out refined sweets and skipping on the white carbs. I've noticed a significant difference within my body practicing my new diet transition. I feel lighter, faster, more energized, and happier. Now, I didn't do this all at once. I started off with baby steps. It's been a work in progress, but I'm starting to like this change. I think that reading The Kind Diet and The China Study may have had some influence on this decision.
Tomorrow will be another busy day for me. I have errands to run, grocery shopping to do, and sushi to eat. What a week!

I'm a perfume addict
While this isn't my perfume collection I quickly snapped in the pic above, it is an inspiration piece I came across in Sephora. I love it so much that I'm now on the hunt for a shelf-like thingy similar to this to mirror their display. This is perfect for all my different bottles I have squished onto my bathroom shelf.
My current everyday perfume at the moment is Vera Wang's Love Struck. I decided on the rollerball one that Sephora carries and have been taking it with me everywhere. That's why I love the small compact size- it's convenient, fits in my makeup bag, and the scent stays close to the body. Touch ups are easier to do and a little more discrete.
